Individual Counseling

My background is in cognitive-behavioral therapy, couple’s therapy, and crisis intervention. I have made it my life’s mission to tackle the stigma of mental health and promote healing for millennials and individuals who struggle with daily life stressors such as: moving, relocating, switching jobs, experiencing a breakup, family planning, coping with work stress, and setting healthy boundaries so you get what you deserve. I will encourage you to be curious about yourself, regain authenticity, and use your strengths to empower your life. I’m here to support you in your journey.

AREA OF EXPERTISE INCLUDE:

  • Relationship and family Conflict

  • Racial/ethnic identity-related challenges, (i.e.) mixed-race partnership, blended families, racism

  • Life transitions

Young Adults

Are you trying to make life decisions like what to do after finishing school? “Should I live at home or move out on my own?” Are you experiencing loneliness? Asking yourself, “Why haven’t I found the right mate?” "Why don’t my parents understand me?" Wondering, "Who am I, what does this all mean?” I can help you explore and identify issues, goals, and interests or simply offer perspective on your present and future plans.

It is important to have a reliable source available when life doesn’t seem to make sense. I’m happy to fill that gap.

Couples Therapy

Life is about emotional ups and down. We cope with difficult feelings and experiences, sometimes reacting to stress and pressure in the moment without thinking things through. You may be facing tough decisions, decisions about ending destructive relationships or starting a relationship. You can take your time, work on yourself and I will help you make the right decision that works for you when the time is right. You can cherish and nurture yourselves and yes, even learn to love yourselves. In the therapy process, we can begin with positive affirmations. You can start to accept yourself, with all your faults, strong points, weak points, and everything else. You are right where you need to be.

My task is to provide accurate empathy in the “here and now” during each therapy session. I can help you and your family improve the ability to connect emotionally, setting healthy boundaries and accountability. I hope to support and help you develop effective coping mechanisms that work for you.

I can see you in the comfort of your own home via telehealth and try to fit your busy schedule.
